How To Prepare Chicken Cream Chop?

  • 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts, Cubed
  • 1/2 Cup Flour, Divided
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine
  • 2 Teaspoons Oil
  • 3/4 Cup Heavy Cream (Plus 2 Tablespoons)
  • 1 Onion, Diced
  • 4 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 – 8 Ounce Package of Cream Cheese
  • 4-6 Tablespoons Chicken Broth (Plus more if Needed)

1. Place chicken in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of flour. Stir well to coat evenly. Set aside.

2. Heat oil and butter (or margarine) in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the pan is hot, add the chicken and cook until browned.

3. Set cooked chicken aside for now, as it will finish cooking in the sauce later on. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of flour and salt and pepper to taste to make a thick paste. Add this mixture to the hot pan and stir well to coat the entire bottom of the skillet.

4. Cook for about 1 minute, or until you begin to smell a strong odor and see the flour turn a light brown color (which means its pasty). Slowly pour in chicken broth While continuing to stir constantly. Make sure you scrape up all the browned bits of flour off the bottom, as they are delicious!

5. Turn down heat to low. Next, add in heavy cream and chicken pieces and garlic and onion. Stir until thickened, about 4-6 minutes more.

6. Move the chicken back to the pan that you cooked it in during step 4. Then, cube the cream cheese and add it to the pan over low heat. Stir constantly until all of it has melted into the mixture.

7. Next, switch to a wooden spoon and frequently stir as you slowly pour in heavy cream while stirring constantly. Once all of the heavy creams have been added, continue cooking for another 3-5 minutes.

8. Once the heavy cream mixture has thickened, serve over rice or noodles! This delicious chicken is most enjoyable served with your favorite vegetables and salad!
